Welcome to Rise Productions.

We are an award-winning Irish theatre company, telling stories across various platforms and media. Our debut show Fight Night won both Best Actor and the Bewley’s Little Gem Award at Dublin Fringe Festival in 2010, and was nominated Best New Play at the Irish Times Theatre Awards 2012.

Following that sell-out run at Dublin Fringe, and a run at Bewley's Café Theatre extended due to popular demand, Fight Night returned in late 2011 for a 25 date nationwide tour, culminating in a week-long run at the prestigious Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival.

A radio adaptation of Fight Night was commissioned and broadcast by RTE Radio 1

Fight Night returned in 2012 for further extensive touring, including international dates in both Scotland and Finland.

Rise Productions also co-created Tear Down The Walls, a site specific installation/live action piece for Project Brand New at Dublin Theatre Festival 2011.

In November 2011, Rise Productions unleashed its groundbreaking Irish Theatre Podcast on an unsuspecting public. For 52 weeks straight, the series sought to “support, promote, and celebrate all that’s great about Irish theatre.” These weekly conversations granted unprecedented access to some of the most influential figures in Irish Theatre, creating the most comprehensive archive of Irish theatrical voices ever compiled. It quickly became the Number 1 Arts podcast on iTunes, and was included on the Drama syllabus at Yale University, The Gaiety School of Acting, Ulster University, and NUI Galway.

It won Best New Play at the Irish Times Theatre Awards, and subsequently went on a 20-venue nationwide tour.

Rise: Audio Drama saw a return to audio format with short form radio plays, including a particular focus on female voices in both writing and performing. Both 10-part series reached Number 1 in the podcast charts.
